I wanted to do something very different to my previous photoshoot, so I went for a darker colour scheme of dusty blue and gold. Of course I had foliage in there, I have a serious love for foliage! I worked with some of these suppliers on my previous photoshoot at Moggerhanger Park, and I loved their work so much I knew I needed to bring them to Shortmead House with me!
Some seriously awesome suppliers came together and everyone excelled themselves to produce a beautifully detailed shoot with gorgeous details.
The Models…
Our stunning models were Charley and Tom. Charley is a former Miss England finalist and Miss Northamptonshire winner. Tom, her real life model boyfriend with tons of modelling experience. Of course, they were incredible, and being a real life couple they had such a beautiful natural spark between them. I prefer to use real life couples in my shoots, as it is very difficult to replicate the true connection that there is between a real life couple!
Styling…
The styling and floristry was done by the ever incredible Sara of Queen and Eden, who’s styling is super elegant. I asked the talented So Bespoke Designs to create the stationary which she did a wonderful job of, and the chairs and charger plates by Rosetone Events. Nina from Meadowsweet Cakes produced the most exquisite cake table with a beautiful array of stunning cakes. All of this was housed in the beautiful stretch tents in the grounds of Shortmead House. They are a wonderful way to bring your wedding outside, but while protecting against the variable British weather!
The Venue…
Shortmead House is a beautiful 16th century manor house set in 24 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Biggleswade, Bedfordshire. It has stunning permanent stretch tents up, which provide the prefect mix of indoor and outdoor to suit all your wedding needs. Also, it has an outdoor ceremony area, situated under a thatched roof. It fitted my vision for the shoot perfectly, and the stunning grounds were a pleasure to photograph the models in. My personal highlight was producing the beautiful image in front of the house itself, in all its grandeur.
Clothing…
As soon as I saw the Morilee dress at Kate Joseph Bridal I absolutely fell in love with it, and knew it was perfect for the shoot. The plain slim skirt called back to the plainer dresses worn by Meghan Markle and Princess Eugenie at their weddings last year, which I loved! The dress ended in an absolutely stunning lace cut-away train, co-ordinating with the clear crystal beaded embroidery on the bodice. The suit from Chimney Mens Formalwear complemented the dress perfectly, in a mix and match style, with a handsome vintage style waistcoat and blue chino trousers. In addition, the tie was a gorgeous paisley in blue tones, and provided detailing which co-ordinated beautifully.
Kate from Kate Atalay Bespoke Hairstyling created a beautiful relaxed updo, complemented by gorgeous make up by Vikki from She Does Makeup MUA. Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories provided some incredibly intricate hair pieces (I’m still so in awe that she hand makes them all!), which looked perfect.
In Conclusion…
All these suppliers were absolutely incredible, I gave them a brief and the freedom to go and work their magic, and absolutely that is what they did! It was such a beautiful photoshoot and it was so much fun to photograph!
I wasn’t the only one who loved this photoshoot… Its been published in Your Herts and Beds Wedding Magazine and Engage Weddings too!
