Last year I had a wonderful day photographing Grace and Sam’s beautiful Essendon Country Club wedding. We were blessed with a gorgeous day, beautiful light, and wonderful people… what more can a wedding photographer ask for?!
We started the day at a gorgeous old Farmhouse a couple of miles from the venue, where Grace, her family and bridesmaids had gathered to get ready together. Grace had got everyone such sweet gifts, and it was lovely to see everyones smiling faces when they opened them.
Later, we headed over to Essendon Country Club for the wedding, where a fairly nervous Sam waited in the upstairs ceremony area. Grace looked radiant as she walked down the aisle with her dad, in her gorgeous beaded A-line dress (which had POCKETS!) from Birdcage Bridal Boutique, which I could tell made her feel a million dollars. Now I’m pretty sure Grace wins an award for being the giggliest bride ever in a ceremony! It was just lovely to see so much happiness in the room, and it definitely shows in the photos!
“So nice to look through the photos every time I get the chance to!! They are all so amazing!”
I LOVE it when brides do speeches, I wish I had done one at my wedding and I just find it so heartfelt and emotional. So I was so pleased when Grace did one!
We headed out on a golf buggy round the course and came across the most beautiful light on a bridge over a lake… the combination of this created some absolutely stunning portraits of Grace and Sam. I feel is one of, if not the most, important aspects of wedding photography… at the end of the day the couple is what the day is all about!
We headed out for some more portraits after the first dance, once nights had fallen and we could do something a little more artistic. I love to play with light, and we managed to create some magical photos.
Big thank you to Sam for her help on this one!
Grace and Sam, thank you so much for bringing me to Essendon Country Club for your wedding! I thoroughly enjoyed it and I wish you a lifetime of love and happiness together! Love, Nicki x
