In January 2020 a group of incredibly talented suppliers got together at the beautiful Barns at Redcoats wedding venue, in the hope of creating inspiration for all those winter brides out there. We wanted to show that even though peak wedding season is in the summer, winter weddings are just as beautiful, elegant and special. We did that, and some! With many of the weddings this year having to be postponed, this photoshoot created amazing inspiration for those brides who perhaps have had to turn a summer wedding into a summer one.
The Venue…
The venue was the gorgeously rustic Barns at Redcoats, a beautiful wedding venue nestled in the Hertfordshire countryside near Hitchin. The warmth of the Barn contrasted beautifully against the cool silver and white tones that Stardust Events and Tiggity Boo brought to the shoot with the venue styling and stationary respectively. Their work was beautiful, and brought a touch of sparkle and glamour to the shoot. The styling included tall candelabras, sparkling runners and beautiful stationary to adorn the table.
The Suppliers…
Our gorgeous model Elle-E looked sensational in a bespoke gown by Lisa Lyons Bridal. This was finished with a beautiful fishtail hairstyle by Bespoke Bridal Hair by Nicola Marshall, complemented by beautiful hair accessories by Rachel Sokhal Bridal Accessories. The elegant makeup was done by the amazing Michelle Nash Makeup, who accentuated Elle-E’s natural beauty as she does with all her clients. At the end of the day, as she would on the day, Toni from Glamavan Glitter arrived and glittered our model ready to party! We had heaps of fun with it, and you would too if you had it on your wedding day.
The esteemed Shelly of La Belle Cake Company created a beautiful marbled four tier cake to complement the styling, which was stunning. The flowers for both the table and the bouquet were created by The Flower Boutique. She perfectly captured the relaxed, slightly wild vibe I desired.
Adam at Creative Spark Films joined us for the shoot and produced a beautiful video, which you can see below. He did a wonderful job, I love the different feel you get from a video versus photos.
And I couldn’t have done this day without Vikki who is Your Wedding Friend. She assists me on the day, and with her experience as a wedding planner she was a great help in making sure everything was in the right place at the right time.
In conclusion…
The shoot was absolutely beautiful, and can be of great inspiration to anyone planning a winter wedding. And of course, any of the suppliers involved would be an absolute asset to your wedding, they are all incredibly talented and would be a wonderful addition to your wedding day.
